Lights Festival – The Heart

Project Details

Title: Lights Festival – The Heart Year: 2019 Location: Klaipeda

After the extraordinary success of last year, when our 100-year-old illuminations were the setting for the celebrations in honor of the 100th anniversary of Lithuania’s independence, The Klaipeda Light Festival has decided to reconfirm our presence by choosing the “Heart” project as a symbol of love for the neighbour and for the Country, dedicated to two important events in February: the day of Lithuanian independence and Valentine’s Day. From February 14th to 17th our Heart lit up, gathering huge crowds to witness our Light & Sound Shows. This installation consists of a large 24m (h) x 23m (w) facade with a 100m long gallery, over 100.000 Led lamps 15.000 RGBs for a total of 120 dimmer channels and 150 universes.

Thanks to RGB technology, we have programmed special lighting, on theme music and Lithuanian melodies, which will warm up the hearts and the Baltic atmosphere. It was a great effort for our twelve technicians to work at these latitudes for the 18 days of the installation, where in addition to the bitter cold (the temperature is mostly below zero with peaks of – 11) it often snowed. But this year we felt alive and present, especially for the interest of the citizens, their affection and gratitude for having brought our art back to their country.
