Title: Notte della Taranta – Tamburello Year: 2019 Location: Melpignano
MarianoLight designs and realizes for the 5th time the stage scenography for La Notte della Taranta, which has reached its 22nd edition this year.
The design idea, which required 25 days to develop, is to create a large tambourine with traditional lights – 6 meters high and with a diameter of 19 m – with all its rattles, which embraces the scene of the stage and all its actors. Nine workers and 34 hours of assembly were required for the installation, that consists of 21 thousand LED lamps, of the typical colors of Salento (the blue of the sea, the yellow of the sun, the red of the earth and the typical white of the luminarie), and 34,000 pixel rgb, for an infinite number of light effects.
