Title: Cracco – Marinella Senatore Year: 2023 Location: Milan
From 5 April to 2 May 2023, the Cracco Gallery in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan hosted the work by Marinella Senatore entitled “We rise by lifting others”. This exhibition, created by Marianolight, is inspired by the traditional illuminations of the south Italy, exploits the symbolic power of light to convey a positive message to the community: “We elevate ourselves by lifting others”. Since 2016, Senatore has created large site-specific light installations. These works reinterpret the architectural forms of the Baroque in a contemporary key , focusing mainly on rose windows and portals and putting the importance of community and the power of art and participation at the center.
